1.     What inspired you to write
this book?

I was determined to answer the official US narrative denying
genocide in Gaza, after orchestrating a fascist coup d’etat in Ukraine and then
using it to wage war against Russia, and threaten China. I wanted to counter
the Big Lie, provide the real story, and offer a realistic solution.

2. What exactly is it about and who is
it written for?

This book delves into genocide in Palestine, and the war crisis
in eastern Europe, West Asia and East Asia. It examines the role of the Big Lie
in blunting popular opposition, and describes ways countries around the world
and the general public are pressing for peace. A NetGalley reviewer
writes that “Knight provides the historical context as well as sharp insight.
The essays are succinct, pointed and very clear. This is a great supplement for
any college class as well as a book to be discussed in community groups.”

3. What do you hope readers will get out of reading your
book?

I hope readers will be armed with the information they need to
take action to stop the war machine.

4. How did you decide on your book’s title and cover design?

The book’s title tries to highlight a realistic as
opposed to false or fake approach to peace, and also indicate the stakes
involved and the need for action. The cover art conveys the message that all
hands together hold up the world.

5. What advice or words of wisdom do you have for fellow
writers – other than run!?

Stick to your story and don’t give up!

6. What trends in the book world do you see — and where do you
think the book publishing industry is heading?

More and more people want to take advantage of opportunities to
get their story out.
Independent publishing is now at least as big as the commercial variety.

7. Were there experiences in your personal life or career
that came in handy when writing this book?

My adult life has been dedicated to efforts to stop U.S. wars.
This book, and my memoir, spring directly from that life quest.

8. How would you describe your writing style? Which writers or
books is your writing similar to?

People find my writing style direct and accessible. I like to try
to make news writing and analysis as interesting and approachable as an
adventure story.

9. What challenges did you overcome in the writing of this book?

My goal was to reveal the truth about the current horrifying
global situation in a way that readers could find as a welcome relief.

10. If people can buy or read one book this week or month, why
should it be yours?

Time is short, and the danger is real. Read my book to learn the
truth and find a way to take action.
