Hey gang,

My small company (Manufacturing Building Materials & Construction Subcontracting, USA based) recently started using a CRM. I’ve been working on importing data into the CRM from our legacy systems and could use some input from more experienced CRMers.

Our legacy systems contain Customers but also other industry contacts — below is a breakdown of the companies/organizations we have contacts for.

Lumber Mills
Wholesalers and Distributors (Our Customers for Manufacturing)
Retailers
General Contractors (Our Customers for Subcontracting)
Architects
Building Code & Fire Officials

So my question is, do you put all of your contacts into the CRM or do you only put contacts in that meet some criteria?
